Restaurant Review

Due to the current gastronomic trends, many contemporary restaurants offer their own twist on the tapa-style dining. However, only a few of them deliver delicious, flavourful food that goes well beyond the food presentation and the restaurant decor. Origin seems to have found the recipe of success that combines the modern, industrial look of the venue with the presentable and tasty dishes at the affordable prices. Popcorn, unusually frozen in liquid nitrogen, is added for texture to the traditional Peruvian dish ceviche while mint nicely combines all the flavours in the Thai-fused beef salad. Even the succulent Chinois duck wrap turns to be one of my favourites although duck isn’t usually my first option on a menu.

The touch of molecular gastronomy and the upbeat, swanky ambience make Origin worth the visit. Thus, I would gladly recommend it. Big thanks to K.K. for the perfect restaurant suggestion.
